Going nutty
It's been awhile since anyone has blogged our adventures so thought I'd do a post of today's race. The title goes along with what we (Angela, Katie and myself) were thinking when we met at the park and ride at 5:30am. Despite our tired feeling we packed into the blue jetta on a mission to run a quick 12K across the bay (sponsered by Emerald Nuts, hence other reason we were feeling nutty) from sausalito to san francisco. Did we succeed, read on and you will find out.....
Topics of the ride to the race included the race course(I was describing the course on the way there to the other two 12K newbee's), the excitement of writing term papers, good movies we've seen lately and butt and hamstring issues to name a few. Parking was easier than expected and we easy popped onto a bus for the journey to sausalito, arriving with tons of lounging time before warming up. It was great to see so many impalas lining up at the starting line. The course was windy and hilly but I must admit I always have a good time on this course despite the many challenges. The south bay runners represented well (in particular Angela M from the south bay is one fast mama) and overall the team ran awesome! We had Caroline A blazing in at second place and Katherine K close behind in third place. I am a bit unsure of how the next few impalas placed but I know they were hahling! After the race we enjoyed munching on emerald nuts, biscotti, coffee and some even braved a glass of beer. Post race activites included a lovely brunch at Martha's awesome apartment (thanks again for hosting Martha!). The brunch not only provided us with great food and company but also filled us in with information about on line dating (we've got some experts on the team).
We then packed back in the car for a fun filled ride home to the south bay. We were greeted by rain on the drive home and strange police acivitiy involving a police escort (which required four police cars) for a man who had run into some bushes on the median of the freeway-nobody really know what happened.
For those south bayers who could not make the trek today, we missed you but hopefully we will meet up on tuesday! And for everyone enjoy the rest of the sunday.

Always blazin' and excitin' times with the Impala's. Well done ladies! Sorry I missed out on the good times.
[subject change]
Is George Peppard a hottie in Breakfast at Tiffany's or is the BF just MIA?(emphasis on the 'M' / 'A') I thought it was the former until I found out he's also 'Hannibal' from A-Team fame with Mr.T which kinda ruined it for me. But, if I don't think about that then I think he-is-Fabulous! And with that, I think the real answer is the latter.
