The Bling's the Thing

Sometimes, it's just all Good. We seem to be in the fortunate situation that not a month can go by without cause for another celebration for one of our SBV sisters. Congrats and best wishes to our most recent diamond ring owner and her man!! No longer the BF, he has been promoted to F (fiance) on the way to a future as the H (husband!)

Several SBV'ers showed up at the Park N Ride hoping to hear the details. Although the blushing bride got held up at work, luckily our ace reporter Waz had seen her recently and filled us in on as many details as she could. We may need to have another SBV rendezvous at the Stanford track on Sunday to cheer on MD2 and T-Mac in addition to viewing the new bling thing on 'deezy's left hand!!

Nice work to everyone at Kezar today. SBV'ers Janet, MD, G2 and Waz gutted out some strong mile repeats while M2 made an appearance for a tempo run in the park.

Not sure if we have already chronicled the latest SBV home owner, either. Congrats to Angela and her family on the new digs in PA! The moving party is still on for this Saturday at her place...

Finally, we can't let the celebration end without a shout-out to our Awesome Teammates who WON the BOSTON MARATHON in the women's team division last week. You go girls!! The SF Chronicle will be at practice next Tuesday to interview/photograph the team from SF that stole the show at Boston this year. CONGRATULATIONS, ladies!

Ciao,

G2

HP 10K

Wow what a sight to see so many impalas at the HP 10K. And even more exciting was how fast everyone raced, good work all around! Offical results are yet to be posted but unoffically I can mention a few Impala performances, such as our international SBVer Megan D doing double duty this past weekend with two 10K's in one weekend. She lead the team placing first in the race and setting a good tone for the rest of us. KK followed close behind in 4th. Behind her came Shal (with international BF cheering) , Lisbet, Holly (commuting once again from out of state), Betsy (first race as an impala) and others. Other exciting and notable performances were Tara breaking 40, always a fun barrier to break. I'll post offical results to the team when they come out. But for now rest assure the impala blue was well represented in Cupertino at the HP 10K.

Can someone (hint: MD2) hook a sista up with some details, puh-leese!

Peace.
