Coach Shal...whippin' those TNT'rs into shape!

Shal gave me a ride to check out TNT practice in Los Gatos today, where she is a coach. Got to carpool up with the other coaches and hear funny anecdotes about their impressions. Workout was 9x500 with 300 rest, and as if that wasn't brutal enough for our Olympic Trials-finisher-turned-coach, she decided to skip the rest interval and just keep going around the track at the same pace without stopping for the entire workout.

Of course, she was leading the "fast" TNT group which I also took part in. The best part about it was that she was pushing us hard on the 500's as they started out at 7:00 pace and finished at 6:00 pace!

So, now I can say that in addition to having completed a "half-Megan" workout (c. 2004 @ DeAnza College), I have also completed a "half-Shal," where we were technically running the intervals together, however her intervals were twice the length :)
